Calling Cancel Subscriptions sometimes does not cancel Stripe subscription

We are seeing an issue where when a customer is clicking on cancel subscription, it looks like the subscription is cancelled on UI but Stripe ends up billing the customer the next month. Where can I look to debug this issue?
