Emoji picker?

Is there a library or code sample that adds an emoji picker to Trix editor?

That's a great question. I'd love that. I am always doing the cmd-ctrl-space on my Mac instead but having a button would be great.

Related to this, I'd also love to have a video embed Trix action.

There are at least a hundred JS calendar/date picker plugins, all with slightly different UI/UX quirks. But somehow there's a real absence of Emoji pickers, and I suspect that snobbery is at least partly to blame. Why put time and energy into something so seemingly unserious, right? :grin:

That looks great to me! Nice find. I especially like that there's no 3rd-party dependencies.

Saving recently used Emojis to localStorage is an especially nice touch. Too bad it can't work across domains.

I wonder how they keep it up to date with the new Emojis that the ISO committee put out every year.
