Ending a trial early

Curious if anyone has figured out a good way to end a trial period early and start the billing cycle with Stripe. My use case is that I'd like limit certain functionality during the trial period. So, I'd like to offer them a way to get started with their "full" plan right away. 

Obviously I could just offer a separate "Trial" plan and then have them switch to a paid plan when they want, but I'd prefer the automatic transition that comes with the trial being a part of the paid plan.
