Introductory Pricing to new customers

Wonder if anyone has attempted offering a discount to early customers. Curious to what would be the best option, have narrowed it down to a few different methods:

1. As we have Monthly and Annual plans - create 2 new plans "Early Adopter Monthly" and "Early Adopter Annually" - and then manually convert these users to the regular plans after 12 months?

2. Use a Stripe coupon that lasts 12 months? So that their first year of either Monthly or Annually is discounted, and then automatically converted to full price.

3. Keep these customers at Early Adopter Pricing forever? However, if they were to cancel, they would have to re-activate at the standard pricing.

Would love to hear your thoughts.

I have every new user go through an onboarding wizard and at the end offer a lifetime 50% off (via stripe coupon) if they subscribe and pay on the spot. If they continue with their free trial, I have a banner up top that offers a lifetime 40% discount until the free trial ends. Everything works via stripe coupon.

If they were to cancel and come back (not use the spiffy new pause feature) then I think it’s fair to ask to pay full price.
Thanks  Nicholas Seferos  - that's a really interesting alternative suggestion.

So essentially, it is a "lifetime discount" - but uses a stripe coupon. If a user cancels and comes back, then they pay full price.

Can I ask, how have you been able to attach the stripe coupon for your plans using Jumpstart - assuming you add the parameters inside the Subscription controller?
