Is there a quick way to remove teams from the template

There is no use for the teams capability in my website and wanting to remove it.  Before I go thru and remove anything just wondering if there was a quick and easy command included to turn it off

You are always just remove it from the menu and no one will ever see it again and you wont have much problems merge stuff from remote in the future. 

General consensus seems to be leave it in and just ignore it. As  Alain Pilon says, merging in changes and fixes from the Jumpstart master in the future will be a lot harder if you've made significant changes to teams.

I don't want teams in my app either but so far it's worked fine just ignoring them.
