Profile "Delete my Account" button, does it leave subscription active?

I've just noticed a default "Delete my Account" button in the edit profile section.

I'm guessing this code will remove the user record from the database. 
Does it also proactively cancel any live subscription?

Assuming it doesn't I strongly question if it should be there at all.

A fix might be to disable the button if a subscription is live and say the user needs to cancel their subscription first.

The Pay gem will cancel subscriptions on destroy.
