Tips on working with Javascript and Importmaps in Rails 7
Woah! Working with JS and Rails is a lot right now.
I've found it very confusing to know where to load everything and which approach to take, especially as we transition from Rails 6 to Rails 7 approaches.
I'm hoping you could help us navigate. If I just want to write some custom JS somewhere, where should I put it? I like the implied simplicity of the new importmaps approach, but is this approach currently supported in Jumpstart, if not where do I put everything?
