I just noticed the device project went from being owned by plataformatec to heartcombo at the start of the month. I can't find any information as to why this happened or what it means for the future of Devise. Do you guys know what that is about?

I believe it was related to the company plataformatec being acquired by another company. It sounds like the acquiring company will continue to support platafromatec's open source efforts.

Yeah, I believe they just changed the repo so it's now owned by the current maintainers rather than the company just in case they can't continue supporting it in the future.
